Overview
Light Targeter is a Studio tool that makes any light aim at and follow a target: a character, a specific bone, or any workspace item or folder. When a light is locked to a target it repositions and re-aims itself every frame, with controls for distance, which of ten directions it sits around the target, and fine horizontal and vertical offset. It also bundles one-click multi-light rigs (portrait, dramatic, mood, and stage looks), per-light intensity, range, spot-angle and volumetric controls, and a save/load system for your own lighting presets. Lights it creates are real Studio workspace objects that save and load with your scene.
Hotkeys
| Key | Action |

| F8 | Toggle the Light Targeter window (also opened from the left Studio toolbar button) |
Features
- Lock a light onto a character boneBind any Studio light to a character and a specific bone (head, hands, hips, chest, and more) and it re-positions and re-aims itself every frame so it keeps tracking that point as the character moves.
- Target scene items and foldersA light can lock onto any Studio workspace item or folder instead of a character, following that object the same way.
- Grab the current Workspace selectionThe Use Scene Selection button targets whatever character or item you have selected in the Workspace tree, so you do not have to scroll through long lists.
- Ten positions around the targetPlace the light in any of ten directions relative to how the target faces: front, front-right, right, back-right, back, back-left, left, front-left, over, or under.
- Distance and fine offset controlsSliders set how far the light sits from the target plus horizontal and vertical nudges for precise framing.
- Per-light property slidersAdjust intensity, range, and spot angle straight from the panel, and these values are pushed only when you move them so they never fight hanmen's Graphics plugin.
- One-click lighting rigsThe Quick Light tab builds complete multi-light setups from over twenty presets across studio/portrait, dramatic, mood, and stage categories, all auto-locked to the chosen focus bone.
- Volumetric light toggleEnable or switch off a volumetric light-shaft effect per light when hanmen's Graphics plugin is present.
- Save and reuse your own presetsStore any group of lights with their colors, angles, offsets, and volumetric state as a named preset on disk and re-apply it to any character later.
- Lights that live in the sceneEvery light the plugin creates is a real Studio workspace object, so it shows up in the scene tree and saves and loads with the scene like a native light.
Configuration
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| UI Window Scale | 1.0 | Scales the entire plugin window from 50% up to 250% so it fits your screen resolution; also adjustable live from the UI Settings section of the panel. |
| Font Size | 12 | Sets the interface text size from 10 to 24 points; also adjustable live inside the panel. |
Requirements
- HS2 Studio (StudioNEOV2). The plugin only runs inside Honey Select 2 Studio; it does nothing in the main game.
- Modding API (KKAPI / BepInEx). Required to load; it powers the toolbar button, Workspace selection, and scene save/load hooks.
- hanmen Graphics plugin (optional). Only needed for the volumetric light-shaft effect; everything else works without it.
Tips
- Quick Light rigs need a character and a focus bone chosen first; pick them at the top of the Quick Light tab before clicking a rig.
- Following is set up per session. After loading a saved scene the lights keep their saved positions, but re-select the light and target and turn Lock to Target back on to resume live tracking.
- While your mouse is over the window (or you are dragging a slider) the Studio camera is frozen; move the pointer off the panel to move the camera again.
- Custom light names and hard-shadow modes are preserved with the scene even though Studio itself does not normally save them for lights.
